2. Gulak And Sihra Have A Match

Let’s be clear that there was nothing wrong with the match between Drew Gulak and Harv Sihra. The two wrestled a competent match that was a little more grounded than some of the other first-round bouts in the tournament.

But damned if this writer can lay on the praise for this match. And in a tournament where nearly every match thus far has generated praise or reason for celebration, having an unremarkable match without any standout moment is going to get a negative mark. It by no means should be taken as a sign that either man did poorly – the match might have been a match of the night on a lesser episode of Smackdown from the past year.

If we’re going to praise other matches and performers, then Gulak and Sihra deserve a gentle negative for having the “least good” match on this CWC episode.
