Given that Zack Sabre Jr. is one of the bigger stars in the Cruiserweight Classic, many didn’t expect 38-year-old Tyson Dux to advance in the tournament when it was announced he would face the Brit in the first round.

But still, WWE went the route of telling the story of how Dux blew out his ACL in a SmackDown match in 2004 (against Mark Jindrak) and how he had to work his way back into wrestling, even working as a truck driver while wrestling part-time to make ends meet. It was a nice story that made you feel like he deserved a little moment in the sun.

But alas, Dux fell to Sabre Jr. as expected, leaving with a nice story without a happy ending. It’s bound to happen from time to time, but that doesn’t make it any less disappointing.
