4. Using The Ascension To Put Over Corbin/Rhyno Was Smart

It was great to see The Ascension back on NXT where they were the best tag team in the history of NXT. The crowd gave them a great reaction as if to say "welcome back" for everything they have done in NXT. They haven't found a lot of success on WWE's main roster, so it was a great thing for Konnor and Viktor to be back in front of the NXT crowd. Their match against Corbin and Rhyno was a hard hatting battle. It was a weird dynamic because The Ascension used to be heels in NXT, but they were working as faces here and seeing Konnor make the hot tag was different than what I'm used to with them. Konnor did a great job when he got the hot tag. The end result was Rhyno and Corbin finding a way to get the win. Corbin took out Viktor outside the ring while Rhyno hit a Gore on Konnor to get the win. It makes sense considering Corbin is one of the most pushed stars in NXT and booking him to lose would have been dumb. I'm not sure if Corbin and Rhyno are a long term tag team, but they did well together.
