This was the first NXT TV match for Crews since he made his debut at the Takeover Brooklyn special. The crowd loved seeing him in action, which isn't a surprise because of how talented he is. Crews beat Martin Stone in a match that went a few minutes. It was basically a showcase for Crews to show off his moves. That's fine although they will need to find a feud for him soon because this can only go on for so long before it gets repetitive. That reminds me of how Baron Corbin was booked for several months. The match was over in three minutes with Stone barely getting any offense in while getting almost no reaction. After a choke hold spot, Crews made his comeback and finished him off. When he hits a dropkick he seems to get higher than anybody else on the roster, which makes him stand out even when doing a basic move like a dropkick. Crews using the Standing Moonsault as a finisher looks impressive, but that's not the kind of move that fans are used to seeing as a finisher. That's about the only knock against him and it's a minor one.
