5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown (Aug 27)

2. Seth Rollins' Promo Felt Repetitive

I like Seth Rollins and I think he's probably the best overall performer in WWE right now. However, I felt his promo in the middle of the show was too repetitive with what he said on Raw. For whatever reason, WWE believes that their top heel performers need to do the same promos over and over on both Raw & Smackdown nearly every week. Rollins spoke for about seven minutes all by himself with no interruption. On Raw, he went nearly as long. There were even points in this promo that were about the same subjects he mentioned on Raw as well, so as I watched it all I wanted to do was hit fast forward. This is coming from a fan that loves Rollins, but why do we need to hear it again? I think what WWE should have done is put Rollins in a match that went about four minutes that he won clean. Then after the match, he could have done a one minute promo about how he's going to beat Sting so badly at Night of Champions that we won't see Sting in a match again. Repetitive promos and video packages are a problem with WWE right now. They think fans are stupid and that we need to hear the same things repeatedly. It's a shame because they could make better use of their time.
