5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown (Jan 28)

2. Fourth Screwy Main Event Ending In As Many Weeks

It's fair to say that even with the WWE Network lessening importance on pay-per-view buyrates, the company still enjoy providing definitive results on the monthly specials. Television is different, because the sole purpose of the TV programming is to build towards what might happen at shows like Royal Rumble, Fast Lane and others. Even so, the promotion shouldn't always rely on screwy non-finishes. The main event of Smackdown was a 6-man tag-team match pitting Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho opposite Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Braun Strowman was at ringside, meaning it was only a matter of time before the big man interjected himself into the bout and got involved. He was directly responsible for drawing a disqualification. This meant that the babyfaces won, but did so in a manner that wasn't wholly satisfying for the watching audience. Looking at Smackdown main events over the past month, there hasn't been one clean finish. In fact, there have been 3 disqualifications and one double count out on the show. Give us a clean win, WWE!
