WWE's thinking when replacing Ric Flair with Dana Brooke can't really be argued with. The fundamental idea appeared to be giving the spotlight to a deserving female promoted from NXT, but Brooke's on screen relationship with Charlotte hasn't really satisfied as of yet. That continued on SmackDown.

The pair have only been together a short while, but the writing staff are already teasing dissension in the ranks. Even in a brief promo segment on SmackDown, Natalya and Becky Lynch showed supreme unity, whereas the fresh heel duo were left scrambling to try and convince everyone of their harmony.

That's a bizarre way of doing things, because surely the story should revolve around heel dominance. Charlotte and Dana simply haven't been together long enough for tension or problems. If anything, that kind of thing should exist more on the babyface side of the equation currently.
