5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (June 16)
1. Baron Corbin Desperately Needs Something Fresh
Another indication of perplexing storytelling, Baron Corbin's feud with Dolph Ziggler has just went on far too long. It's clear those in charge of penning television are quickly running out of ideas for the pair, evidenced by their formulaic stare down after Corbin had beaten Zack Ryder on SmackDown.
At this point, Corbin needs something new to sink his teeth into. His 'Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal' win at WrestleMania 32 has already been forgotten, WWE rarely reference it or show the trophy he was awarded. Since winning that multi-man match, Baron has traded wins on the under card with Ziggler, and that's been going on for months.
Hopefully, Corbin will beat Dolph at Money In The Bank and then move on to something more compelling. Ziggler is a great talker when motivated, but even he seemed to struggle for things to say when providing guest commentary. This rivalry probably should have ended long before now.
