And what a main event that was. The Money In The Bank Ladder Match entrants weren't handed a lot of time, given just over 10 minutes to work with in SmackDown's featured bout. The pay-per-view match will undoubtedly be longer, meaning it was a smart move to keep things as short as possible on Thursday's show. Besides, the action was worthwhile.

Kicking off with another brawl (in-keeping with the melee feel Money In The Bank provides), the match then boiled down into a more familiar affair, but not before Cesaro made Jericho tap to the Sharpshooter. Y2J wasn't the legal man, meaning Cesaro didn't get the victory, but it did put over the idea that the move is strong and he has Jericho's number.

As aforementioned in the intro to this piece, Money In The Bank is coming at the ideal time. It's clear that WWE couldn't get away with continually booking matches like this, so it's a good thing the pay-per-view is this Sunday. For what it's worth, the opening segment and match itself added some spice, fulfilling their intended purpose.
