5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (March 10)
8. Return Match Between Brie Bella And Summer Rae Didn't Feel Important
WWE.comIt often comes across as entirely meaningless when WWE book return matches just days apart with completely opposite results. Some fans feel this removes the chance for anyone to gain momentum, and such a method of writing is usually referred to as 'yo-yo booking'. On Monday Night Raw, Summer Rae pinned Brie Bella, but on Smackdown the outcome was reversed. This time, it was Bella who made her foe tap out. It seems obvious that Brie and Lana are set for a bout come WrestleMania, so it's true that Bella did need an opponent on both shows. However, having Summer win on Monday, then lose on Thursday doesn't really do anything for her. Similarly, it doesn't do much for Brie. It remains to be seen whether or not Lana vs. Brie Bella can excel inside the ring, there may be a surprise waiting. For what it was, Summer vs. Brie on Smackdown was far too short to really mean anything.
