The Dudley Boyz are at the stage of their careers where wins and losses don't quite matter as much as they once did. Largely, they're a nostalgia act that can recover from staring at the lights easily. Therefore, it was a good decision to have them lose instead of The Vaudevillains on SmackDown.

Both units teamed together to face The New Day and Big Cass in an 8-man tag-team match. The 10-minute duration seemed perfect for such a battle, and there were some nice moments. Most notably, The Vaudevillains tired of The Dudleyz and their inability to get the job done, so they decided to take charge in that camp.

That only makes the WWE Tag-Team Title contenders look more authoritative and commanding. They were joined in that field by Cass, who picked up the win for his side by taking out both D-Von and Bubba Ray. In the continued absence of Enzo Amore, Cass is only looking stronger.
