5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Sept 24)

1. The New Day vs. The Lucha Dragons & Neville

Even assessing this match before it happened, there's no way it could have been anything other than entertaining. The New Day are arguably the most impressive thing in WWE right now, and The Lucha Dragons have roared back to show what they're capable of. Add Neville into the mix, and good things were virtually guaranteed before bell time. The bout didn't disappoint, and was actually the best match on Smackdown this week. Xavier Woods is rarely given the chance to show what he can do inside the ring, but even he played a pivotal role in the collision. After the match, The Dudley Boyz were asked to provide feedback and talk about their upcoming match against The New Day at 'Live From Madison Square Garden'. This was the perfect way to keep that story moving along, without having both teams out there facing off against one another again. There should be no problems with WWE booking matches like this, because it puts excellent emphasis on the tag division too. Without doubt, The New Day vs. The Lucha Dragons and Neville was a smooth match, and the main highlight of Smackdown.
