2. Lack Of 'King' Barrett During 6-Man Tag
This past week on Raw, 'King' Barrett made a surprising return. Laying out both Neville and Stardust, the Englishmen grabbed the mic and said, 'All hail the return of the King'. It was an effective segment, and was just begging for some follow up. If ever people needed another reminder that WWE themselves view Smackdown as second rate, it was when both Neville and Stardust appeared but Barrett didn't. Stardust teamed with The Ascension to face Neville and The Lucha Dragons. The writing staff could easily have booked 'King' Barrett to sit in on commentary, but he was nowhere to be found. It's likely there will be some follow up on the next episode of Raw, but this is what many fans are talking about when discussing why Smackdown has become inessential for a lot of folks. Ok, so it would be foolish to claim Barrett would make a significant change in ratings, but continuity is key. Even something as simple as having him present would have helped further the story of why he attacked both Stardust and Neville. Maybe WWE just want fans to move on from the attack, and have other plans for the 'King'.
