5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown

1. Roman Reigns Hell In A Cell Challenge To Bray Wyatt

Aside from The New Day, is there a better promo man in WWE right now than Bray Wyatt? The character may often deal in hyperbole and melodrama, but Wyatt has a captivating way of delivering his lines. That was the case on Smackdown, when he cut a chilling promo discussing his ongoing feud with Roman Reigns. Bray reasoned that the pair are intrinsically linked. That's a cool idea, that Wyatt is slowly trying to turn Reigns into a monster just like himself. Hopefully, this is something WWE keep pressing, because the angle has potential if handled correctly. On the Thursday night show, Roman had a message of his own to deliver to the 'Eater Of Worlds', and it was a big one. In short, Reigns challenged Bray to a Hell In A Cell Match. It's unclear right now just how many Cell encounters will be booked on the Pay-Per-View. The Undertaker is already set to clash with Brock Lesnar inside the structure, but it appears Wyatt and Reigns will blow off their feud there too. The match will need more build in order to ensure it's fully satisfying, but it's heartening to see WWE are moving Reigns away from the hammy promos he was doing earlier this year.
