5 Ups And 3 Downs From WCPW Loaded Episode 1

2. Hail To The Prince

Ligero Kirby
WhatCulture/Ollie Sandler, The Ringside Perspective

The only wrestler who got a chance to address the live crowd was Prince Ameen, who cut a promo before his match with Joe Coffey.

Ameen's promo wasn't the most polished or electric, but it was classic heel stuff - he's the richest pro wrestler in the sport, he came to win titles, and he doesn't care what the "keyboard warriors" have to say about it. He also had a clever comeback to "What?" chants, telling the fans that they meant to chant "WhatCulture".

What really worked with regards to Ameen's promo was the fact that it was a great joke that everybody was in on. Making fun of fans for being on the Internet is beyond played-out, but at a wrestling show run by a website, it takes on a whole new life.

Everybody at the show - including the people running it - were keyboard warriors, so it was both an easy and effective way to get heat.

Hopefully Ameen comes back to run down the crowd some more - or at least encourage them to yell "WhatCulture" during promos.
