5 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE NXT (Nov 25)
3. Rhea Ripley Addresses Her Future
After Rhea Ripley ultimately came up short in her NXT Women's Championship match with Io Shirai on last week's show, the internet has been full of rumours suggesting that the former Champion could be on her way out of the black and gold brand, with the main roster in her not too distant future.
So, the star took to the ring to address this speculation head on. Noting that her hug with Shirai at the end of the contest was nothing but a show of respect between the two, Ripley confirmed that she is here to stay and focused on reclaiming her title.
This announcement was then suddenly interrupted by War Games captain Candice LeRae and her newest ally - Toni Storm. The "Poison Pixie" called out Ripley for not being able to back up her words before revealing that her posse had attacked Shirai backstage, carrying her lifeless body out for all to see.
Quickly sensing a similar fate could be on the horizon for her, Ripley set about attacking Team LeRae. Yet, the numbers eventually proved too strong.
Clearly, this angle appears to have set up Ripley and Shirai as Shotzi Blackheart's newest teammates. If that does turn out to be the case, my god, we're in for something special come War Games.
