4. Cruiserweights Get Time Again

It might be quiet in the arena when they start, but little by little, the cruiserweights are getting some fans on their side.

Monday night, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari fired off a fast-paced match that was all action, with all of them getting opportunities to shine. It was a “second chance” fatal four-way after Rich Swann’s suspension, and Alexander and Ali had a great callback to the match last week, as their exchange was eerily similar, right down to Daivari throwing Cedric outside (Drew Gulak did that last week), but the bout continued.

In the end, it was Alexander running wild on everyone and hitting Daivari with a Lumbar Check for the win and a one-on-one match with Gulak for the #1 contendership. Giving the cruiserweight matches some stakes and then time to take place might actually help. It’s certainly not hurting anything.
