5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Christmas Eve)
4. Heyman Intimidated Easily
Even in a limited role, Paul Heyman is gold when he’s around. Even when given silly material, Brock Lesnar’s advocate still provides good TV.
Monday, Heyman sang his version of “Silent Night” about Braun Strowman’s chances of defeating Brock at Royal Rumble, then threw in a bunch of Christmas clichés in a promo. Out came Braun to offer his rebuttal, which sent Paul E. into hysterics, wishing every holiday greeting he knew before screaming his typical defense, “I’m just an advocate!”
Strowman had his own silliness to spread, with Rudolph nose and antlers for Heyman before issuing a warning to his client.
All of it was campy and goofy, but it was all delivered seriously, and the message was clear: the Universal Championship match between Brock and Braun is going to be a battle. Hopefully, we’ll get a real match between the two, and in this “new era,” maybe we’ll actually get what we want and deserve. **coughcough**
