5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 26)

2. The Ultimate Arrogance

There was a momentary knee-jerk reaction to make the Stephanie McMahon and Triple H video package an automatic “down” as it talked up how much Steph and Hunter train, especially when the trainer talked about how they exceed the training of Olympic and NFL athletes.

That was a total barf line.

However, if you view the video package through a different lens, it’s brilliant. Stephanie is not even remotely a threat to Ronda Rousey. She should be chum in the water against someone like Rowdy Ronda. And deep down, Steph knows it.

So what do you do? You bluff.

The video was put together for Raw, which McMahon owns. She showed off her training regimen, had others praise her, talked about her experience in WWE and how Rousey is a novice in the squared circle, and said that Ronda’s “arrogance is a gift” for her to exploit.

If this was intended as a piece of delusional hype, then it’s brilliant. Of course, if it was intended as a straightforward, honest puff piece, then barf.
