5. Cruiserweights Return, No One Cares

If anyone was keeping track, the last time we saw cruiserweight action on Monday Night Raw was seven weeks ago.

But judging by the overall reaction, it doesn’t seem like fans really noticed. There was a subdued reaction from fans Monday night, as Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali (who teamed up in that tag match nearly two months ago) faced Drew Gulak and TJP.

Let’s be honest: It’s hard to care about wrestlers you haven’t seen on your TV in nearly two months, and who weren’t really built up that much in the first place. WWE went from trying to get us to care about the cruiserweights by showcasing them on Raw to having them vanish, to having them show back up two weeks before WrestleMania and have fans care about them again.

And as talented as they are, wrestling a mostly mat-based match with a couple highspots that most main roster wrestlers can execute isn’t exactly going to entice fans suddenly.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
