5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 10)

3. This Will Make Everyone Grumpy

Where to start with this one? Maybe with the fact that Grumpy Cat has been around for two years now, so it is hardly a new internet meme. So it makes perfect sense that a feline whose sourpuss still serves as a backdrop for humorous one-liners would guest host next week€™s Monday Night Raw. Because the 6.9 million Facebook fans of Grumpy Cat will undoubtedly tune in to watch wrestling now. Or because the millions of wrestling fans who aren€™t watching WWE will suddenly tune in. Or because the millions of regular WWE viewers are just dying to see more frowning felines and less wrestling. Or maybe because Vince McMahon probably just discovered Grumpy Cat last week. Whatever the reason, this is eerily reminiscent of when WCW started booking utter crap like having Chucky the murderous doll on Nitro feuding with Rick Steiner €“ and it€™s worth noting that WCW beat WWF only one more time in the Monday Night Wars after Chucky appeared. Should TNA start the popping champagne?

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
