5 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 2)
4. A Slower Turn
Initially, this was going to get a negative mark, but let’s give some props to WWE for not turning Sasha Banks full-blown heel immediately.
Yes, the lead-up to last week’s brawl between Sasha and Bayley took forever to get there, and that deserves negative marks, but now that it’s happened, it was a bit strange to see Banks come to her former friend’s aide like she did on Monday.
However, it made sense in that while Sasha had a run-in with Bayley, she still might consider her a friend of sorts. Of course, Banks then immediately wanted credit for saving Bayley, which the Huggable One wouldn’t provide, leading to them fighting again. (That in turn led to Absolution getting the drop on them.)
This pretty much should mark the end of their friendship, as you can stretch things out too far. But it was an interesting twist to see Banks offer assistance with strings as she continues her descent into villainy.
