5 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (September 24)

Ups…

5. Lio Works His Magic

It remains to be seen if Lio Rush is a positive addition or subtraction by addition to Bobby Lashley, but he’s at least making things more interesting.

Since returning, Lashley has been fairly bland and dull as a smiling babyface. He needed something to put him over the top, and WWE pulled the trigger on Lio becoming his hype man. Rush can run his mouth, plus he can antagonize and then evade his would-be assailants, as he did again on Monday.

The sight of Rush flying around the ringside area to avoid Kevin Owens and Elias was pretty impressive, and he’s already done a better job of hyping Lashley in two weeks than anyone has in the previous four months.

We’ll see if this actually works, but for now, it’s definitely a positive development.
