5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2018

3. Imitation Is The Sincerest Form

For what it’s worth, that was a pretty cool trade-off between New Day and the Usos.

The two tag teams have squared off numerous times during the past year, and their rivalry has been one of the better ones in WWE during that time. So after you’ve faced each other a bunch of times, what’s left to do in a match?

That’s right, steal each other’s moves. However, these two teams took it to a new level, aping each other’s movesets almost entirely. The Usos did a Unicorn Stampede, so Kofi Kingston hit a hip check. Then Jimmy Uso hit a Boom Drop and tried to execute a Trouble in Paradise. The Usos did manage to hit the Midnight Hour for two, but Kofi hit a Superfly splash for another near-fall.

It was actually fun to watch as they tried to one-up the other and surprise the other team by stealing their moves. Of course, it unfortunately went nowhere, but it was fun while it lasted.
