5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 36

3. A ‘Reset’… To What?

The Raw after WrestleMania has often been the launching pad for a lot of things: new wrestlers debut, others return, new storylines begin, and others end.

The announcers referenced this multiple times Monday night, calling it a “reset,” but very little about the evening felt like a new direction. We did see Nia Jax return and Bianca Belair officially debut on Raw, but that was it, unless you count Apollo Crews’ annual brand shift to see if he’ll stick this time.

No new storylines were launched. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair simply gave interviews the night of their victories, and those were aired Monday night. The matches, while overall good, weren’t building to anything. It’s almost as if they knew they needed to film something, but they didn’t know if or when they’d get to film again.

Of course, this was a different kind of Raw, so that has to be taken into account, but then don’t compare it to previous Raws after WrestleMania. You’re doing a disservice. However, this was a better showing for the red brand than previous Performance Center episodes.
