5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 36
4. Once, Twice, Thrice
It’s pretty clear watching Raw that the wrestlers were instructed to go out there and have lengthy matches to fill the three-hour program, but why did we need three matches with two DQs to accomplish that with one segment?
The Street Profits were defending the Raw Tag Team Championships against Angel Garza & Austin Theory when Zelina Vega interfered, causing a DQ. Vega then got physical with the Profits, sparking Bianca Belair to officially debut on Raw and come to the aid of her husband (Montez Ford).
This led to a singles match between Vega and Belair, which then ended in a DQ when the men wrestled into the ring. And then, Ford called for a six-person tag match, so we got a third match involving these participants. And finally, that match ended decisively, with Belair hitting a KOD on Vega for the pin.
Why did we need to have that singles match in the middle with a DQ? They could have simply had Bianca save, make the six-person tag match and have a lengthier contest (which should be easier with 3-on-3 action) that ends with Belair getting her hand raised.
Not the worst thing in the world, but it was a bit ridiculous after a while.
