When the obituary is written for the WWE 24/7 Championship, the biggest thing someone is going to have to do is determine when the company officially jumped the shark on the title.

For a while, the 24/7 title was one of the most entertaining parts of Raw. But lately, it’s become a bad joke, repeated ad nauseum in the hopes that this time, someone (other than Vince McMahon) laughs. But alas, the joke is beyond stale, and it’s fallen flat several times now.

Monday, the Singh Brothers defended Samir’s 24/7 Championship against R-Truth (he a 21-time champ) in a traditional match. However, the brothers gave up after a couple minutes of “action” and ran to the back, which didn’t end the match, as the title can be defended anytime, anywhere.

Um, if that’s the case, where was everyone else chasing the title? But nevermind, to the “match”… everyone ran backstage, but the Singhs stumbled upon Erick Rowan, who beat up both brothers, and Truth quickly walked away from the beating.

Bad, bad, bad.
