5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Roadblock: End Of The Line

2. Jericho’s Master Plan

Whether you saw it coming or were caught off-guard, it shouldn’t have been completely surprised by Chris Jericho’s interference in the WWE Universal Championship match – and in his loyalty to champ Kevin Owens.

For several weeks, Jericho has been an estranged friend at best, telling off Owens and walking away from him several times, despite KO’s pleadings. But Sunday, Y2J knocked Owens out with a codebreaker, only to cause a DQ to save the title for his best friend. It was a full-on swerve, with Jericho convincing fans – and apparently, Owens himself – that he was done being friends with KO, only to turn around and save the day for the champ.

We’ll probably hear more about this on Raw, but it was a nice bit of “acting” from Jericho, throwing everyone off and helping to preserve Owens’ title reign. Still, we’re going to have to see Jeri-KO implode for real at some point…
