Once New Day set the tag team title reign record on Monday, you had to figure that they were living on borrowed time, in a manner of speaking. The question was, who was going to topple them?

It turns out that Raw’s resident Odd Couple defeated the New Day, with Sheamus and Cesaro overcoming Xavier Woods interfering multiple times to become Raw Tag Team Champions. Ironically enough, it was Cesaro short-arming Sheamus on a tag to deceive Kofi Kingston that led to the win.

The match itself was really good, with Sheamus and Cesaro using some pretty good tandem offense to take control of the match. This former forced pairing has managed to gel just well enough to win, and somewhat win over the fans (mainly on the strength of the Cesaro Section). How long they hold the tag titles will remain to be seen, but let’s give them credit and look optimistically toward new challengers and new angles in the tag division.
