5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Survivor Series 2016

Downs...

6. Sami The Bridesmaid

Poor Sami Zayn. The man wins a blow-off match with his former best friend and the guy who loses goes on to win the WWE Universal Championship, while Zayn drifts aimlessly and then can’t beat the Miz for the Intercontinental Championship.

That’s a pretty harsh assessment, and it’s not entirely fair to criticize Sami for losing that match, given the circumstances. Miz is on the second leg of his never-ending Honky Tonk Man 2K16 impersonation, which seems to work well for him, but that doesn’t make it any worse to see Zayn fall short again.

If we could safely say that Sami would be off to bigger and better things, then it might be different, but, you know… WWE and all.
