It might be a pretty minor thing, but when you make a nearly 10-year connection/callback, you deserve kudos.

Way back in 2007, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins began masquerading as and aiding then-World Heavyweight Champion Edge, becoming the Edgeheads. They won the WWE Tag Team Championships while serving as part of Edge’s entourage before later losing the titles and separating due to the draft in 2009.

But Sunday night during a 10-man tag match on the kickoff show, Ryder tagged in to face off against Hawkins, but Curt bailed and tagged out. That didn’t stop announcer Mauro Ranallo from making the connection for fans and reminding them that the two men had been a tandem once upon a time.

Again, not a big deal, but worth giving some kudos for the callback.
