5 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 16th)

4. Reigns Delivers On The Mic

WWE has finally figured out what works with Roman Reigns on the microphone: short, intense promos devoid of jokes that are full of confidence. While €œBelieve That€ might not be a good catchphrase, at least Reigns is no longer being fed lines like €œSufferin€™ succotash!€ WWE has decided that the best way to present Reigns is as fighting from underneath and fighting to earn respect from all the doubters. While it still isn€™t working to the extent that WWE would like, it€™s far better than portraying him as a superhero. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84Wo1_WvQDc And while his promos like Monday€™s are simple, short reactions to far superior promos from Paul Heyman, it shows that Reigns still has a bright future €“ if he€™s not completely exposed in the coming weeks and months.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
