It’s sort of a catch-22 to complain that the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal doesn’t have enough starpower, and then kvetch about this, but bear with us.

It is a crying shame that Braun Strowman, who overcame a sluggish start in WWE to become one of the most popular and dominant stars on the roster, has gone from a marquee matchup at Fastlane to being one of the men competing in the battle royal at WrestleMania next week. Meanwhile, a host of part-timers get plum spots on the PPV in matches before they will disappear into the shadows shortly after Mania.

Strowman will hopefully win the event, but the fact that he was (and still is) a dominant force on Raw and had no program heading into WrestleMania is an indictment against the writers.
