5 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 27)

5. What A Waste (Of Time)

It’s true that the Raw before WrestleMania can sometimes have “extra” time in the program because storylines have been sufficiently wrapped up, forcing writers to throw something out there to fill time.

But a gauntlet-style, over-the-top-rope challenge with Big Show and a bunch of geeks? Come on. The segment just served to make Jinder Mahal, Bo Dallas, the Shining Stars, Curtis Axel and Golden Truth look like a bunch of nobodies, a group of absolute losers.

For the record, the Raw roster consists of about 30 male wrestlers, so we’re talking one-quarter of the roster looking like impotent idiots, attacking ninja-style (one at a time) and getting decimated.

All of this apparently was to remind us that Big Show is big, and tough to toss over the top rope, so his showdown with Braun Strowman will be even more epic. Memo to the writers: Their first encounter was awesome. Just play off that and build it up as Show reaching the end of his career and wanting to teach the young gun a lesson. No need to beat up a good chunk of your roster in a time-wasting segment.
