5 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 10)
3. Wasting KO
You ever wonder if Kevin Owens thinks he might have been better off if he stayed on the sidelines injured longer?
Since returning from double knee surgery, KO has lost two PPV world title bouts and is in the middle of an eight-week streak where he hasn’t won a televised match by pinfall or submission. Monday night, he served as an opponent for Universal Champion Seth Rollins, but that was merely the backdrop for Sami Zayn as the outside referee.
Despite having the advantage of a distracted Rollins, Owens would end up eating a Stomp, but Sami pulled referee John Cone out and got in Rollins’ face, leading to Seth grabbing him and triggering a DQ win for KO. And then Owens rolled out of the ring and wasn’t seen again.
You could have legit put anyone else in that spot, but they burned KO for that (likely due to the connection to Zayn).
