Last week, Raw GM Kurt Angle gently chided Golden Truth over their terrible won/loss record, noting that they didn’t deserve a tag title shot, but they’d participate in a tag team turmoil match this week.

Before the match, Goldust gave an impassioned speech about how they needed to turn back the clock like the Hardy Boyz and earn a Raw Tag Team Championship match against their contemporaries. And then Golden Truth entered in the prime spot, last after Cesaro & Sheamus had fought in three matches already.

And they still lost.

So, this is going somewhere, right? They’re not going to pass over this and pretend it didn’t happen, are they? Maybe Goldust will reunite with Booker T for one last run as BookDust. If that happens, then this is a big positive. But with WWE’s track record on follow-through, we’ll give this a mild “down” for now and hope to be pleasantly surprised.
