Dammit, we were doing so well.

Sure, Raw ratings might be tanking, but that is not a sign that fans are desperately missing Stephanie McMahon. The Raw commissioner has been off TV for a month now after going through a table at WrestleMania. But Monday night, we got our first reference to her taking back the reins, with Miz announcing that she had called him and made him co-acting GM for the night.

As we all know, Stephanie can’t leave well enough alone and stay away for an extended period of time, so she was name-dropped Monday and exerted some influence over Raw through Miz. That likely is a precursor to McMahon returning to the roost sometime soon, which clearly is what must be missing from Raw. Ratings will spike!

Let’s just hope that doesn’t happen, because the more that is believed, the more McMahons we’ll get.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
