Two of the biggest stars on Raw right now arguably are Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt. So why on Monday did they serve simply as an opponent for the participants of the Intercontinental Championship feud between Miz and Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose made Miz face off against Balor, who toppled the Awesome One after a GM restart. And Wyatt defeated Ambrose in the main event after Miz mildly interfere. It was a logical progression of the storyline, but it was such a waste in many ways of Balor and Wyatt, serving as avatars for the champ and challenger.

Both men likely will soon be at each other’s throats, but it was still an odd move.
