5 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Extreme Rules 2015

What ruled and what was extremely frustrating Sunday night?

WWE€™s streak of entertaining PPVs ended Sunday night at one with a disappointing yet generally inoffensive Extreme Rules. It was fairly obvious in recent weeks that the company lost a lot of the momentum it had coming out of WrestleMania Play Button, so it was safe to assume that this PPV was not going to set the world on fire. What we got Sunday night was a seven-match card (eight if you could the preshow) that featured several decent matches but nothing that will be remembered a month from now. WWE didn€™t really seem interested in ending any feuds at Extreme Rules, having matches end in confusion or in a manner that invited a rematch. In one case €“ Cena versus Rusev €“ we were told during the PPV that the two would have their fourth straight pay-per-view match next month at Payback. It€™s really a shame that WWE couldn€™t figure out a way to bottle up the excitement that followed WrestleMania and carry at least a fraction of that over. What we got instead was a bland PPV that will be forgotten by the time Raw finishes Monday night, especially because Payback is just three weeks away. With that said, let€™s see what ruled and what was extremely frustrating Sunday night.
