5 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2015

4. The Real Village Idiots

If you grew up listening to the likes of Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby €œThe Brain€ Heenan, Jesse €œThe Body€ Ventura and Jim Ross calling matches, then today€™s commentary team has to make your ears bleed. It€™s so painful at times that muting the television might be an option. The foolishness was at its peak during the kickoff match between R-Truth and King Barrett. First, Michael Cole suggested that Truth had as much right to consider himself a king as Barrett €“ completely ignoring the fact that Barrett won a tournament (beating Truth along the way, mind you). Then Jerry Lawler badly screwed up a bad joke about Barrett saying he€™s bigger than the Beatles, which would make Ringo Star roll over in his grave. Sadly, Lawler picked one of the two members of the Fab Four still going strong today. It didn€™t help later when Cole reminded Lawler indirectly of their awful 2011 feud by mentioning that he had been €œknighted€ by the €œQueen€ at some point. If you had forgotten that horrible memory, sorry for reminding you. It€™s bad enough when the match is bad, but when the commentary also is worse, it just drags everything down.
