5 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Raw (May 4)

It’s worth noting again that Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre are putting together a nice little program between the two of them.

Rollins delivered another false martyr promo Monday night, talking about how he was sacrificing himself by relieving McIntyre of the burden of being WWE Champion and winning the title at Money in the Bank. McIntyre showed his dominance in the ring by defeating Murphy and overcoming a sneak attack from Rollins, continuing to look like a champion who might be unstoppable and certainly is unflappable.

Seth’s smarmy persona would be getting solid jeers right now, while McIntyre’s confident swagger would be winning over fans. It’s tough to judge whether this rivalry is really good or just good enough, but it works, and that’s good enough for this era.
