If WWE is all about telling stories, what story are they telling with Bayley and Nia Jax? That Jax is such an unstoppable monster that she will absolutely run over the Raw Women’s Champion?

Put aside Bayley’s two victories against Nia in NXT. She’s already beaten her once in WWE. But more than that, if Jax is such an unstoppable monster, and Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks are watching the match knowing that if Nia wins, she’s in the WrestleMania title match… why didn’t they interfere on Bayley’s behalf?

Seriously, this is the sort of thing that writes itself. No-DQ bout, Charlotte and Sasha attack Nia so Bayley wins to keep it a triple threat. Stephanie McMahon then decides to add Jax anyway because she’s evil (WWE doesn’t seem to mind making her a plot device repeatedly). That would paint Nia as dominant, while Bayley doubts herself without losing. Can she win on her own?

Otherwise, why have a no-DQ match in the first place? So Nia could get lightly hit in the face once with a steel chair? It just feels like an uninspired effort to cram all four women into the title bout, which is never a good feeling.
