5 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 9th)

5. This Is PG?

On paper, it probably sounded like a good idea: Pittsburgh native and rap superstar Wiz Khalifa is a wrestling fan, so bringing him on to host and perform a couple songs would be a natural fit, right? But if anyone in WWE read Wiz€™s song lyrics, they would see that he might not deliver a PG-friendly performance. That is not at all a knock against Khalifa as a musician. He€™s extremely successful and fans watching live in Steel City enjoyed the mini-concert. And Wiz clearly was one of the most interactive guests WWE has had, lapping the ring area and slapping hands with fans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as4I_DvAM8s Wiz€™s first song, €œWe Dem Boyz,€ included numerous drug references (though he covered up a few), and a line about €œwhite girls gimme becky,€ which is a reference to oral sex. Again, this is not the morality police. This is solely a jab at WWE, which bills itself as family-friendly PG programming, not doing its homework about song selection.
