When it comes to the rest of the Raw women’s division, Ronda Rousey is virtually invincible. No one really expects the Baddest Woman on the Planet to be in jeopardy of losing to Alexa Bliss at Hell in a Cell on Sunday.

So the best way to sow any seeds of doubt would be for Bliss to injure Rousey in advance of their match. Otherwise, she doesn’t stand a chance. And that’s exactly what happened Monday night.

During a tag match pitting Rousey and Natalya versus Bliss and Mickie James, the villains attacked Ronda’s ribs, which presumably were injured last week. They rammed her into the ring apron, repeatedly kicked her in the midsection and stretched her. It wasn’t a devastating injury, and Rousey recovered to armbar Mickie for the submission victory, but it at least gave Alexa something to target on Sunday.

So maybe now Bliss will last five minutes, as opposed to the four her SummerSlam bout against Rousey went.
