6. Bait-And-Switch On A Face-To-Face?

To be fair, this writer was dreading another in-ring Q&A segment moderated by Alexa Bliss. The previous two were snoozefests.

Still, that doesn’t make what happened to the advertised face-to-face with Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey OK. Jax grabbed Bliss’ mic and promised to “erase the myth of Ronda Rousey” at TLC, which prompted Rousey to storm the ring and declare she wanted a fight. Nia took a powder, and we quickly segued to a match between Ember Moon and Tamina.

The Jax promo wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad, and Rousey’s anger was understandable, but the immediate sidestep after promoting the segment all show, for a 10-second staredown? Come on. Maybe we could have cut one Baron Corbin backstage segment.
