5 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 26)

4. Even Heels Get Flu Shots

Well, looks like anti-vaxxers can’t count crazed wrestling villains among their ranks.

But seriously, Dean Ambrose turned in an unusual, unique promo on Raw, delivering it from the doctor’s office as he got shots for the flu, typhoid, distemper and rabies(!) to combat any viruses he might pick up from the “vermin” fans he encounters in various cities. He even took a comically oversized needle in the hip, partly dropping his pants on camera to get pierced.

Ambrose also railed against Seth Rollins, vowing to put him out of his misery at TLC. While it was an eccentric promo, it was nothing like his “Lunatic Fringe” character, as last week’s antics indicated that he’s more of the cerebral-yet-crazed villain.

The more he’s on camera talking, the better he sounds, but hopefully they don’t make the mistake of going goofy with the promos. Visiting a doctor’s office could have been silly, but Ambrose’s delivery kept it on this side of sane. It’s a balancing act.
