5 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 26)
4. Renee’s Lack Of Conviction
When Baron Corbin tapped Alexa Bliss as head of the Raw women’s division, Renee Young had a pretty on-point observation: She’s still technically part of the active roster and is now going to run the division? That’s a huge conflict.
About 90 minutes later, Young completely flipped sides, noting that in the past hour, Bliss hadn’t done anything to abuse her new-found authority, so we shouldn’t be so quick to judge her. Then it was Michael Cole to make literally the same argument Renee had made earlier about the conflict. Like, it was almost word-for-word what Young said earlier.
What the actual hell? If you didn’t realize that the announcers are being fed lines and aren’t expressing anything resembling an actual original opinion, that should have solidified it for you. That was some seriously stupid writing and lack of continuity within the same program.
