5 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2017

7. Worst Boss Ever

Mick Foley
WWE Network

What kind of boss misses one of her company’s biggest events of the season?

A bad boss, that’s who.

If this was the real world, Stephanie McMahon would be reprimanded or even fired for not being present to oversee a PPV. Travel complications should not be an excuse – an executive should have made arrangements earlier to be there and then arranged alternative travel if problems arose. Instead, Stephanie spent the PPV berating GM Mick Foley from an airport tarmac as her plan had technical difficulties.

Yes, we “needed” a plot device so Foley was alone in charge of Fastlane so he could bear the blame for anything that went wrong, but it’s just the typical strange booking we get that doesn’t line up with reality. This trope of “Stephanie misses Raw/PPV for some reason or another” happens more often than your realize. Added up, it makes her look like an ineffective boss.
