Oh come on.

This column has had a lot of positive things to say about Sasha Banks, but it makes next to no sense to sacrifice Nia Jax’s dominance since debuting so The Boss could win their throwaway PPV match with a rollup. With a rollup.

Jax has dominated nearly everyone on the roster, with only Bayley pinning her, and even that was a fluke, with Sasha distracting her and Bayley scoring a second-rope Bayley-to-Belly. But Sunday, Banks was ragdolled and dominated, with Nia powering out of a Banks Statement, only for Sasha to get a victory roll with a bridge for the three count.

Maybe if Nia had slammed into the ringpost and was knocked loopy, you could’ve made the excuse, but she basically slipped on a banana peel and Sasha pinned her. Maybe she was supposed to grab the rope for leverage, but that didn’t happen either.

This is WWE booking in 2017. It’s not so much that Nia lost, but how she lost. There was just no forethought into making it a loss that protected Jax and made her look strong in defeat.
