5 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 5th)

2. Ambrose/Wyatt Gets A Clean Finish

Even though it started because of a smoking lamp and a hologram, the feud between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt had some potential. Both men are excellent talkers and can back it up in the ring. They are eccentric and different enough to make fans want to see more. Sadly, their feud has consisted of two PPV matches, both of which ended badly €“ a DQ finish at Survivor Series, and an exploding TV at TLC €“ and a Christmas-themed street fight that was more comical than anything else. So it was a relief to see their ambulance match Monday night progress to a conclusion without any ridiculous hijinks. No one interfered. No last-minute surprises cropped up. Most importantly, no equipment short-circuited and blinded Ambrose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltNsAiHqXWk Sure, we can disagree about Ambrose losing yet another big match and lament how this is eventually going to derail any momentum he has with the fans, but at least someone won definitively (Wyatt) and the feud presumably is over. Maybe we€™ll get another €œfinal€ match at Royal Rumble, but if this ends the feud, so be it.
